Haha! I’m sure if I had to prepare for a hurricane or other natural disaster, this would happen to me.
AAAAH I HAVE A REAL LIFE EMERGENCY SURVIVAL KIT AND GUESS WHAT’S IN IT!!??
[spoiler: I knit socks instead of hats. -u-.]

Love this image. It reminds me of early Vivienne Westwood. The top below is one of her early creations. If Vivienne was’t so rich and famous I’m sure this would be her, knitting badass garments to spread her message.
Pridelikemymotherhas- this is always how I imagine Becky and I as we get older. I always say we will be the ladies who just sit with everyone (and feed them) after the funerals…but look what we will be doing!

As a Harry Potter and knitting fanatic, I think this was one of the highlights of the movies and books for me, lol.

This is that Blanket that Everyone was Looking for a Pattern for! DIY Giganto Blanket here Finally Finished now with Tutorial and Pattern at Ravelry here for $4.99. You have to sign up at Ravelry, but that’s free. I just watched the video (link at bottom) with my significant other and it is amazing. Extreme knitting. Written at Ravelry:
This enormous blanket is knit on 1 1/2” PVC pipe, using slightly-felted superwash (yes, you read that right) unspun wool roving. This pattern is more of a tutorial, as the pattern is: CO 28, k2 p2, BO!
If you’ve ever wanted to knit in a gigantic gauge, this pattern teaches you where to find the raw materials, how to create “yarn” and “needles” from unusual objects, and finally how to knit up your very own giganto-blanket!

I always love a dirty knitting turn of phrase :P
love it. makes me laugh everytime.
These knitted superhero costumes are amazing. In Spring 2011 I knitted some masks inspired by him.
